Volkmann, Roller meet at UFC 151
A lightweight contest between Jacob Volkmann and Shane Roller is official for UFC 151.
UFC officials announced the bout this week.
The bout will likely take place on the preliminary card of the September 1 event, which is set for Las Vegas, Nevada with a light heavyweight title bout between champion Jon Jones and top contender Dan Henderson.
Volkmann last competed at UFC 146, losing to Paul Sass via submission. The loss snapped an impressive five-fight winning streak for the veteran.
His upcoming opponent, Roller, is coming off a much-needed victory at UFC 148, earning a unanimous decision victory over John Alessio. The win ended a rough three-fight losing streak for the former WEC contender.
