Stann, Bisping meet in Toronto

A middleweight bout between Brian Stann and Michael Bisping has been announced for UFC 152.

UFC officials revealed the news over the weekend, confirming the middleweight contest as the co-main event of the card.

UFC 152 is set for September 22 in Toronto. The card was originally expected to feature a heavyweight title fight between champion Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez, but instead features a flyweight championship bout between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson.

Stann last competed on the UFC’s April card in Stockholm, Sweden, earning a knocout win over Alessio Sakara. Prior to that victory, he was submitted by two-time top contender Chael Sonnen at UFC 136.

Meanwhile, Bisping’s last loss also came to Sonnen, losing to the Oregon native at “UFC on FOX 2.” The loss snapped an impressive four-fight winning streak for the British striker.
