UFC 149 Fight Night bonuses handed out to four competitors

Four competitors from UFC 149 went above and beyond the rest of the card to walk away with hefty $65,000 Fight Night bonuses.

UFC 149 took place Saturday in Calgary, featuring an interim bantamweight title bout between Renan Barao and Urijah Faber and a middleweight contender bout between Hector Lombard and Tim Boetsch.

But just one fighter out of the 10 who competed on the main card earned a Fight Night bonus, as Matt Riddle, who submitted Chris Clements in the first bout on pay-per-view, walked away with $65K for Submission of the Night.

The other stoppage-oriented bonus, Knockout of the Night, went to Ryan Jimmo, who knocked out Anthony Perosh to not only win the contest, but tie the official record for fastest knockout. The stoppage came just seven seconds into the opening round.

Lastly, Mitch Gagnon and Bryan Caraway put on a show to walk away with nice bonus checks, though they didn’t fight all three rounds. Caraway earned a third round submission stoppage, but nevertheless found himself in a highly-competitive contest for the first two rounds prior.
