UFC 151 Adds Martinez vs. Cruickshank, Lineker vs. Urushitani

Martinez vs. Cruickshank added to Vegas card

Lightweights Henry Martinez and Daron Cruickshank are set to meet at UFC 151 this September.

Officials announced the bout on Thursday.

Also, a Flyweight bout between John Lineker and Yasuhiro Urushitani has been made official for UFC 151.

“UFC 151: Bones vs. Hendo” takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, on September 1st.  The main event features a title fight between Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Dan Henderson.

Martinez’s entered the UFC with an impressive record of 8-1, but lost his debut fight against Mathew Riddle.  After dropping to Lightweight, Martinez rebounded with a win over Bernardo Magalhaes via split-decision.  He will be looking to solidify his place in the UFC with a win at UFC 151.

“The Ultimate Fighter 15” cast member Henry Martinez was defeated on the show by James Vick, was given another shot when he fought fellow cast member Chris Tickle at the undercard of the show’s finale.  Cruishank victory over Tickle earned him a contract with the UFC.  He will look to start off his UFC career with a “w” in September.

Lineker is coming off of a loss to Louis Gaudinot in his UFC debut at “UFC on Fox: Diaz vs. Miller.”  He became the first fighter in UFC history to receive a performance bonus despite his not making weight.  The fight was an action packed brawl that was ended in the second round when Lineker was submitted via Guillotine Choke, winning both fighters the “fight of the night” bonuses.  The loss was Linekers first in over two years, ending a 13 fight win streak.

Yasuhiro Urushitani is also coming off a loss at his UFC debut.  He was defeated by Joseph Benavidez via TKO at “UFC on FX: Alves vs. Kampmann, ending a 5 fight win streak. Urushitani will look to set his UFC career back on track with a win over Lineker.
