Davis vs. Prado likely for “UFC on FX 5”
A light heavyweight contest between Wagner Prado and Phil Davis is expected to take place at “UFC on FX 5” after their “UFC on FOX 4” bout ended in a no contest.
The news was announced by Dana White just after last Saturday’s event.
Davis and Prado met on the undercard of the August 4 event this past weekend at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. An accidental eye poke led to the bout being declared a no contest after it was determined that Prado was not fit to continue.
Prado was clearly upset at the outcome, but did tell the doctor he was seeing double, and there was blood involved due to the poke as well.
Now the contest will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 5. The card features a heavyweight bout between Travis Browne and Antonio Silva.
