Torres cut by UFC, moves to Titan FC

Former WEC bantamweight champion and fan favorite Miguel Torres has been released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Torres announced the news on his website last night.

The next chapter in his illustrious career takes Torres to Titan Fighting Championships. He will debut with the promotion in Hammond, Indiana on November 2.

That news was confirmed by MMAjunkie.com earlier today.

Torres had a tumultuous time in the UFC, going 2-2 and being released once before. He was cut from the promotion following an message on his Twitter, which the UFC deemed insensitive and out-of-bounds.

However, Torres completed rape-sensitivity courses, among other things, to get back in the UFC’s good graces and returned to the promotion.

His latest loss came against rising contender Michael McDonald at UFC 145. The longtime veteran was knocked out in the opening round.
