Strikeforce November event official, set for OKC
“Strikeforce: Cormier vs. Mir” is now official for November 3 in Oklahoma City.
Strikeforce officials announced the card today.
The event is headlined by a heavyweight tilt — the final heavyweight fight in Strikeforce history — between champion Daniel Cormier, who won the Strikeforce Grand Prix to earn the title, and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.
That fight will not be for the Strikeforce heavyweight strap, however, and is therefore set for only three rounds as opposed to a championship five-rounder.
Also on the card, middleweight title-holder Luke Rockhold meets Lorenz Larkin in a five round fight.
More fights are expected to be announced in the coming days and weeks.
