UFC 149: Riddle, Rivera test positive for banned substances
Two fighters from UFC 149 tested positive for banned substances. And both fighters earned impressive stoppage victories on the card.
Welterweight Matt Riddle and featherweight Francisco Rivera were those two fighters, testing positive for marijuana and an over-the-counter stimulant, respectively.
MMAjunkie.com learned of the news from sources close to the event.
According to those sources the competitors, neither fighter plans to appeal the decision handed down to them.
Both fighters have been suspended 90 days, but a fighter’s suspension begins back on the night of the event he last fought. Therefore, both fighters are eligible to fight as of today.
