From the “not surprising at all” department: UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Houston Alexander has been released from the organization following his performance against Kimbo Slice at last weekend’s Ultimate Finale event.
Alexander roared into the UFC with spectacular victories over Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara that turned him into a fan favorite in a short amount of time. Since then, however, Alexander has lost four straight fights. His lackluster performance against Slice, where he spent the majority of the fight circling away from his opponent, virtually guaranteed his exit from the company.
