“UFC Fight Night: Fight For The Troops 2” is set for this evening at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, and Heavy.com will be bringing you live coverage of the main card.
Beginning at 9 p.m. ET, the event includes five fights that will be broadcast live on Spike TV, featuring a lightweight main event between Melvin Guillard and Evan Dunham.

Cole Miller vs. Matt Wiman
Round 1: Wiman comes out with an intense looks, leading with an inside leg kick. And he lands another. Wiman attempts to clinch, but Miller separates and lands a nice flurry. These guys are going after it. Knee lands for Miller, who also checks a head kick. Wiman puts together a combination and finishes with a nice leg kick. Another knee lands for Miller, but Wiman continues to press the action. They clinch against the cage with two minutes to go, and Miller attempts to pull guard. Wiman ends up on top, looking for a bit of ground and pound. Miller attempts to roll out of the position, but Wiman continues to pound away from top position, not allowing his opponent any air. Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Wiman.
Round 2: An inside leg kick from Wiman scores and he looks for a guillotine. Miller avoids the submission, but still ends up on the floor after a brief scramble. Wiman looks to pound away, while Miller looks for a submission of his own. He fails at the submission, but is able to scramble back to his feet. Wiman continues to press forward, clinching his opponent against the cage. They separate again, and Wiman presses forward once again, and Miller falls to his back. Nice ground and pound for Wiman, who is doing a terrific job at applying pressure. Miller is looking for some sort of submission from his guard, but Wiman is brutally utilizing his ground and pound. The pace of the fight slows with one minute left in the round, and Wiman postures up for the final 20 seconds, throwing double hammerfists and simply outclassing Miller. Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Wiman.
Round 3: Miller probably needs a stoppage to win this fight, but Wiman is the one coming out firing. Miller attempts to fight back, looking for the takedown. Wiman ends up on top, however, and looks for a guillotine choke. Miller pulls out, but is still stuck with his back against the canvas. Wiman postures up and lands some nice shots from the top, and Miller looks to lock up a leg, but fails. Two minutes remaining in the round, and Wiman is in total control. Miller, who is basically doing nothing from his back, continues to take shots from Wiman, who seems content to continue with his ground and pound. Miller trys to roll out, but Wiman switches to back control and continues to brutalize Miller. Incredibly one-sided performance by Wiman.

Barry vs. Joey Beltran
Round 1: The heavyweights touch gloves and we are underway. After nearly one minute of limited action, the two clinch, and Barry presses his opponent against the cage. Beltran reverses positions and looks to put on the pressure here. Knees in the clinch land for Beltran, but the two are separated by referee Mario Yamasaki. Barry is looking for an opening, but Beltran rushes forward, not landing anything significant. Barry works the leg kicks, but Beltran fights back with a flurry that seemed to hurt Barry. “The Mexecutioner” moves back to the clinch, but lands a shot to Barry’s groin, and the action is halted. Yamasaki restarts the fight, but no notable action happens as the round comes to a close. Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Beltran.
Round 2: The second round begins with a touch of the gloves, and Barry comes out with a pair of kicks. Beltran continues to work back with punches, while Barry appears to be looking for an opening. Beltran attempts to tie things up, but Barry avoids the takedown. Barry lands a nice jab, but his opponent follows it up with a flurry that scores. He is now looking for the takedown, but Barry continues to prove a difficult opponent. Yamasaki separates the heavyweights, and Barry misses with a head kick. Beltran, meanwhile, continues to press forward, though he eats another few kicks. Beltran looks to be somewhat hurt, but he still is throwing as we reach the one minute mark. Body kick lands for Barry, but he takes several uppercuts. Round ends with Beltran putting on the pressure. Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Beltran.
Round 3: Fighters begin the final round trading shots, though neither are able to hurt one another apparently. Beltran presses forward with body shots that land flush, while Barry gazes up at the clock when they clinch. Beltran separates and lands several nice uppercuts, though his opponent finishes with a nice leg kick. The crowd begins to chant Barry’s name, but that doesn’t help him to defend even more uppercuts from Beltran. Barry needs to create some kind of distance, or he is going to lose this fight. Two minutes remain in the contest, and Barry misses with a headkick. An eye poke sends Beltran tumbling to the ground, clearly in pain. Yamasaki stops the fight and calls the doctor in, but Beltran is fine to continue. Barry presses forward and floors Beltran with another big kick. He jumps into his opponents half guard, then stands up after attaining full mount. 30 seconds to go and Barry lands another nice kick, but Beltran lands a nice hook. Barry finishes the round with a couple more kicks, and Beltran falls to the floor as the bell rings. Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Barry.

Mark Hominick vs. George Roop
Round 1: Hominick comes out on fire, but Roop defends nicely. Big right hand lands for Hominick, and Roop falls to the floor. He is in trouble, as Hominick continues to press forward. Another nice shot lands, and another. Roop gets nailed with another huge shot and the fight is done. Hominick begins doing push ups, while Roop, clearly dazed, rushes forward. Hominick hugs him and holds him up, reminding him the fight is over. Huge win for Hominick, who will be the next man to fight Jose Aldo.

Tim Hague vs. Matt Mitrione
Round 1: Hague takes the center of the cage to start, though neither fighter seem anxious to engage. Leg kick glances off Mitrione for Hague, who is looking for a takedown. Mitrione looks to be in great shape, as he successfully defends a takedown from his opponent. Inside leg kick lands for Mitrione, followed by a nice straight left. Hague once again looks for the takedown, but Mitrione shoves him away with ease. Another left lands for Mitrione, and Hague is in deep trouble. The former Boilermaker jumps on top of his downed opponent and finishes the job with several brutal strikes. Very impressive performance.

Evan Dunham vs. Melvin Guillard
Round 1: Guillard comes out with a big shot, but Dunham is looking for the takedown after eating the nice punch. He gets him down and is trying to pull Guillard away from the cage wall. “The Young Assassin” stands back up and lands several nice punches, and Dunham looks simply confused. They exchange kicks to the body, and Dunham follows up with a decent combination. Huge right hand lands for Guillard that floors his opponent, but Dunham presses forward looking for the takedown. Guillard lands a nice knee, followed by another. Referee Mario Yamasaki steps in to end the brutal onslaught Guillard was putting on. Absolutely incredible performance by Guillard.
