After months of speculation, UFC officials have confirmed with HeavyMMA.com that UFC 131 will take place on Saturday, June 11 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This marks the second trip to the West Coast of Canada for the UFC.
UFC 115 was held in Vancouver last June and was a tremendous success, holding the record for being the fastest sellout in UFC history. While last minute concerns from city officials almost forced the event to be moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, there have been no such problems this time around.
Ultimate Fighter coaches Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos are slated to square off in the main event. Other bouts confirmed for the June 11 event include:
Demian Maia vs. Mark Munoz
Kenny Florian vs. Diego Nunes
Donald Cerrone vs. Mac Danzig
