A lightweight bout between Edson Barboza and Ross Pearson is scheduled for UFC 134.

UFC 134 is formerly known as “UFC Rio.” The promotion announced both the fight and the switch in name today. The event takes place Aug. 27 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The main event features a UFC middleweight title fight between champ Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami.

The Barboza/Pearson event is expected to take part on the preliminary card portion of the evening.

Barboza was rumored to faced Takanori Gomi at the event, but Barboza’s management said that no such talks had ever taken place.
