Donald Cerrone vs. Dennis SiverSurging lightweights Cerrone and Diaz face off at UFC 141

Donald Cerrone repeatedly says he wants to fight as often as possible, and it looks like he’ll get his wish.

HeavyMMA has confirmed that both fighters have verbally agreed to square off at at UFC 141 in December. MMAjunkie.com first reported the news on Sunday night.

The event takes place Dec. 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It’s headlined by a heavyweight fight between behemoths Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem.

The Cerrone/Diaz clash is expected to take part on the pay per view broadcast.

Cerrone destroyed Dennis Siver and then submitted him at UFC 137 on Saturday night to run his UFC record to 4-0 in 2011. The lightweight had discussed the possibility of moving to featherweight for a grudge match with Nam Phan, but an intriguing fight with Diaz is apparently enough to put those plans on hold. Diaz dominated Takanori Gomi at UFC 135 in his return to the welterweight division.
