Trailer: Rob Zombie’s ‘The Lords of Salem’ Is Heavy on the Dreadlocks

Then Zombie followed up his best work with his worst, Halloween 2. That film just plain sucks and doesn’t really deserve much page space dissecting the varieties in which its cinematic capabilities fell as short as a midget on a baby donkey.

That said, I’d see The Lords of Salem. From the trailer, you can see that Zombie’s use of the camera is a bit more controlled and there’s actually some scary imagery to go with it—a large part of the reasons I don’t like Zombie’s films is because they aren’t scary.

Here’s the synopsis courtesy of IMDB: Residents of Salem, Massachusetts are visited by a 300-year-old coven of witches.

Sounds to me like it’s time for some witchy retribution. Well, whatever keeps Sheri Moon Zombie working works, right?
