Hospital Tech Watched Porn during Open-Heart Surgeries: Lawsuit

Mount Sinai Hospital porn Ahmed Cercioglu heart surgery

It gets so boring running sensitive equipment while surgeons perform life-or-death surgery on patients whose hearts are beating in the open air. Gotta find some way to kill some time, right?

Porn!

Of course you’d watch porn on your smartphone while operating the machine that keeps patients alive during open-heart surgery. The two pastimes go hand-in-hand.

Or at least they do for 37-year-old Ahmed Cercioglu, a tech at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital — according to a lawsuit by his peer and co-worker Sandra Morris, reports the NY Post:

She and her lawyer provided The Post a copy of a departmental memo banning the use of cellphones in the operating room last year, on which someone in his office crossed out the word “cellphone” and replaced it with “porn.”

Cercioglu and Morris worked together as cardiovascular techs, and she says he’d routinely watch graphic sex on his phone during surgery. Her suit also claims she was fired after missing months of work following a workplace injury, and that she was told she couldn’t perform certain assignments “because she doesn’t have a dick.”

So what is it with pervs and Mount Sinai Hospital lately? Remember the urologist with the upskirt pen camera on the subway? We’re starting to think they should film porn at this hospital.
