George H.W. Bush Hospitalized over Pneumonia Threat

George H.W. Bush hospitalized bronchitis

George H.W. Bush, 41st president of the United States of America, has been admitted to a Houston hospital suffering a bad cough related to bronchitis.

Bush Sr. has been hospitalized since the day after Thanksgiving, with doctors worried the 88-year-old will develop pneumonia.

A source tells NBC that doctors are exercising “an abundance of caution,” but the former president’s failing health is an ongoing concern.

He is wheelchair-bound by the effects of Parkinson’s Disease and was unable to attend the Republican National Convention.
