Hip-hop Artist Fat Joe Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion

Bronx Native Fat Joe has pleaded guilty tax evasion, admitting failure to file taxes for years 2007 to 2008.

But there are also claims that he’s failed to pay income taxes from 2007 through 2010. Federal prosecutors say the government’s total tax loss for those four years is $718,038, according to Black America Web.

Fat Joe’s lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, said his client had already taken steps to resolve the situation before being charged. And the rapper plans to pay back his taxes by the time of his April 3 sentencing.
