John McAfee Arrested in Guatemala for Entering Country Illegally

After being wanted in Belize for questioning in the murder of his neighbor, software tycoon John McAfee was arrested on Wednesday in Guatemala for entering the country illegally.

McAfee, the creator of the McAfee antivirus program, has been on the run from the police in Belize since Nov. 10 after his neighbor, Gregory Faull, was found lying face up in a pool of blood after being fatally shot. He claims that the police are framing him and that he ran because he fears he would be killed if he was taken in for questioning.

During the three weeks that he was running, the eccentric tycoon disguised himself as handicapped, dyed his hair seven times and hid in many different places. He was arrested by Guatemala’s immigration police and not the national police, his attorney said.
