A Turkish Airlines plane en route to Izmir from Istanbul made an emergency landing early Friday morning when lightning struck one of its engines and it erupted into flames. A passenger captured the moment on camera, filming the flames from the engine shooting out into the night sky.
The pilot turned on a built-in fire extinguisher to quell the blaze. The plane safely landed and the airlines reported that no one had been hurt.
