Wing-Eating Demigod ‘El Wingador’ Indicted on Cocaine Charges

The man famous for devouring ungodly amounts of chicken wings has been indicted on charges of possessing and distributing cocaine.

Bill “El Wingador” Simmons, 51, a five-time wing-eating champ at Philly’s infamous Wing Bowl, was arrested in June after New Jersey State Police pulled over his Kia Soul, which was decorated with Wingador graphics, reported NJ.com. The bust followed a month-long investigation.

Searching his car and home, cops found a half-ounce of coke, worth $8,000, and about $4,000 in cash. He was indicted this week on a slew of related charges.

The Wing Bowl is an annual, gluttonous Super Bowl Saturnalia of competitive eating, hard drinking and gratuitous T&A. Held on the Friday before the big game, it’s kind of a mashup of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, Mardis Gras, and a giant strip club.

“El Wingador” is a god at the stadium event, having triumphed in five wing bowls over his illustrious career. This year’s Wing Bowl is happening today.
