Hand Grenade Found In Veterans’ Hospital In L.A.

The emergency room of the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Los Angeles was evacuated this morning as a hand grenade was found in the building, reports by CBSLA.com.

LAPD sent a bomb squad to the hospital, located in Westwood, California, at around 8 a.m. local time and are now questioning a man in connection with the incident.

It is unknown who found the grenade, according to Brentwood Patch. No injuries have been reported.

KTLA is reporting that the grenade has since been determined to be fake, and an older man has been detained.
