Melissa McCarthy Kills It On Last Night’s ‘SNL’

Last night, Melissa McCarthy hosted “SNL” for her second time.
And in typical Melissa McCarthy fashion, she let the funny times roll.
She opened the show with a monologue that showcased her unfamiliarity with high heels but highlighted her familiarity with physical farce.

First up was a nod to the current Rutgers basketball scandal.

Later on, she played the “straight woman” that cracked jokes at the expense of “The Voice.” (Kate McKinnon‘s Shakira was particularly funny, too.)

Following up was a “Wheel of Fortune” parody where she played a less-than-brilliant Vanna White-type character who was having a bad first day on the job.

And then meet Barb Kellner, the pizza eater.

Finally was an 90s-era dating help that stirred from memories, if not fashion nightmares.

But by far the best skit not featuring Melissa McCarthy included “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage as Bobby Moynihan‘s Drunk Uncle’s friend, Peter Drunklage.
