Rand Paul ‘Considering’ Run for Prez in 2016, Wants ‘Larger Microphone’

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, the Tea Party favorite and son of former presidential candidate Ron Paul, said today he’s “considering” a run for president in 2016 but “won’t make a decision before 2014.”

His comments came at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, reports The Hill.

“Being considered is something that allows me to have a larger microphone,” he said.

But it’s hardly the first time the possibility has come up in discussion. Here’s Rand Paul in January, asked about the prospect and saying “I like the ring of that” (at 1:41):

Rand Paul: 'President Paul'? I Like The Ring Of That – 1/24/2013Paul, who has not been coy about his interest in running for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, perked up when the interviewer framed a question by saying, "let's say you become President Paul at some point in the future." "I like the ring of that," Paul interjected. January 24, 2013 My Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Eduardo89rp Fair Use Disclaimer: This video may contain copyrighted material.
