Massive Earthquake Hits Colombia, Shakes Buildings

According to officials 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on Tuesday. The city of Medellin felt the effects as buildings shook in the skyline. The quake was felt as far away as Panama city. The quake struck at 10:43 am in the Pacific Ocean and was felt especially strong in the coastal city of Quibdo, where people ran to the streets. There are no immediate reports of causalities or damage.

President Santos has Tweeted about the quake states that “Ingeominas registered a 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Nuqui, Choco. There are no victims or tsunami threat.”
