Beloved Homecoming Queen Jamesha Beard has passed away. WHAS11 reports that Beard died of a “brief illness” over the weekend. According to Buzzfeed, Jamesha was born with Goldenhar Syndrome, which is a condition that causes abnormal facial features and developmental problems.
Just last month, Beard was crowned homecoming by Butler Traditional High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Watch the video of the wonderful moment in the below clip.
Students are honoring Beard at school by wearing yellow ribbons to remember their Homecoming Queen. Beard wore a yellow gown when she was crowned.
