Paris, Texas Quadruple Murder: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Police in Paris, Texas, are investigating a quadruple murder that occurred sometime late last night. Police arrived to the house around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night to find four bodies, all with bullet wounds, in the front room of the house.

Here is what we know so far about this heinous crime:

1. All Four Victims Have Been Identified

This morning police identified all four victims of the shooting:

Romello Dewain Steward, 18
Devante Larry Atkins, 21
Brijonne Rashad Woods, 24
Billy Charles Carey, 32

All of the victims had bullet wounds and police have said that autopsies have been ordered. Local NBC station NBCDFW identified Cary, the older victim, as being a resident of Garland.

2. There is No Suspect

Police have not yet identified a suspect in the case, but investigators have said that two men were in the house earlier in the evening.

The Local CBS station reports that both of these men have been located by police. One was interviewed, and the other was arrested on an unrelated charge.

3. An Unknown Woman Called 9-1-1

Police reported that at around 11:23 p.m. an unknown female called authorities and reported, simply, that someone was bleeding inside the residence.

When first responders arrived, there was no woman, but they found the four deceased bodies in the front room.

4. Murder/Suicide Has Been Ruled Out

Police, thinking the shooting may have been committed by one of the four victims, had determined that the deaths are not the cause of a murder/suicide and are investigating the crime scene looking for clues.

5. The incident Occurred at 435 NE 6th Street

Paris, Texas is around 100 miles north of Dallas along the Texas, Oklahoma border. As of 2000, Paris had a population of around 25,000 people. The town’s most notable attraction is a 70-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower with a red cowboy hat at the top.
