Doctors in China were forced to remove a fetus from the stomach of a 2-year-old boy, leading experts to believe the boy was “pregnant” with his own twin, reports Medical Daily.
Xioa Feng was taken to the hospital after his parents noticed his stomach swelling uncontrollably while he suffered difficulty breathing. After x-rays were taken, doctors noticed the unbelievable diagnosis: Feng was carrying the underdeveloped fetus of his twin. It’s an extremely rare condition called Cryptodidymus.
The twin had developed a spine, fingers and toes but was living in a parasitic state inside Feng’s body and had to be removed via surgery immediately.. The two-year-old is expected to make a full recovery from the surgery.
