Six victims were treated and released for what was believed to be radiation exposure in Mexico, likely related to the recent theft of a truck full of cobalt-60.

The RT reported earlier that those being admitted are the six people responsible for the hijacking earlier this week. However, now the six have been released and although authorities believe they were exposed to the radiation, they do not believe these six people were the hijackers.

The police have blocked off the Pachuca hospital where the six people are being treated.

The truck was found abandoned and the missing containers of cobalt-60 were discovered, stripped of protective casing, about a half-mile from the truck.
