Three people have been injured after gunfire broke out at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell, New Mexico, reports KOAT.

Here’s what we know so far.
1. 2 Students Are in Critical Condition
There are multiple injuries, two people are reported to have been shot a 12-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl, report KOAT. It’s reported that the 14-year-old boy may have been the intended target.
KRQE reports that three people have been injured in total.
2. Police Have Arrested a Suspect
A shooter has been apprehended at the school by authorities. The suspect is a 12-year-old seventh grade student of the school. The weapon used is reported to be a shotgun.
3. Police Are Trying to Keep Parents Away From the School

Parents are advised to pick up their kids at a nearby mall. KOB reports the Roswell Independent School District saying that students will be bussed there.
4. The School Remains Locked Down
The school is on lockdown, with police emphasizing that the school is on lockdown and parents should not go to Berrendo Middle. KRQE have reported that the threat has been “alleviated.”
5. Berrendo is the Home of the Bulldogs
The school are nicknamed the “Bulldogs.”
