German skier Eric Frenzel won the first of three nordic combined competitions at the Sochi Olympics. The competition involves a combination of ski jumping and cross-country skiing. Frenzel led after the ski jumping event and then took home the gold on the cross-country course.
Even after expending all the energy, the 25-year-old still had the stamina to jump pretty high in the air on the podium.
