Longacre was 24 when she was crowned, but now the organization is saying that since she turns 25 on October 22, she must lose the title.
When she won, she told Delaware Newszap, “This is an excellent opportunity to travel the state and get to be a role model for younger Delawareans.”
They deleted me off of everything, they’re ignoring me. They deleted me off the [Facebook] group and put up a press release announcing a new Miss Delaware.

This action causes her to lose $ 11, 000 in scholarship money.
4. She’s Getting a Masters in Social Work
Longacre was pursuing her master’s at the University of Pennsylvania and also had an internship at the Department of Justice.
When she won, she told both that she would have to take a year off to fulfill her Miss America duties.
5. Her Platform is Teen Dating Violence
She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2013, with a focus on women’s studies and domestic violence prevention.
After her coworker was killed in 2009 because of domestic violence, she decided to take on the cause.
“After my coworker’s death, I noticed more and more stories about domestic violence,” she told Delaware Newszap.
