After being loaned to Cruz Azul from Chivas Guadalajara, Fabian has tallied the most goals on the team thus far with 7 goals thus far.


2. He is Valued at $7 Million

Now that Fabian’s was loaned to Cruz Azul from Guadalajara for one year, there are questions about overseas prospects for the Mexican star. To play for a European has been a dream of Fabian’s that could come true after observation of intense scouting by various European clubs.

It has been calculated that Marco Fabian is Cruz Azul’s priciest signing and is worth $7 million dollars, which is about $1 million more than SKC’s starting lineup combined.


3. He was Expelled From the 2011 Copa America Team

Fabian was involved in a huge scandal along with seven other players on the Mexican national team at the 2011 Copa America while on the Chivas Guadalajara team. All 8 players including Fabian were expelled from the team at the time for bringing prostitutes into their hotel before getting robbed by those same women.

Fabian made some questionable comments during a press conference held in order for the players to apologize to the public saying:

It is the work of the Federation to offer conclusions and give their version, once they have information from all the parties involved.”

Fabian later agreed to accept a sanction from the Mexican Football Association that stated a six month absence in the league and a $4,347 fine.


4. He Was A Part of the 2012 London Olympic Gold Medal Team

Fabian played a smaller role than teammates, Giovani dos Santos and Oribe Peralta in the 2012 London Olympics, but nonetheless had an important impact in the victorious result of the Mexican national team.

He was played to support his two star teammates, but ended up actually scoring in the semifinals against Japan to help Mexico into the finals.


5. He Cheated on Ana Bekoa

Fabian has gained a reputation of being quite the lady’s man, having been caught numerous times cheating on his drop dead gorgeous girlfriend, Ana Bekoa.

Bekoa, an actress and model, only found out that he was cheating on her through the press, and although Fabian denied the allegations, the couple split.
