UConn point guard Khalid El-Amin famously proclaimed that the Huskies had “shocked the world” when they beat Duke in 1999 to win their first of four national championships.

El-Amin left Storrs after his junior year, but never quite made it in the NBA despite being drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the second round of the 2000 draft.

But judging by the shot El-Amin hit Friday night at Jim Calhoun’s charity game, the guy can still play.

El-Amin rattled home a jumper just before the buzzer sounded, giving the white team a 114-112 win over the blue team in a game that featured a Huskies alumnni group that included Ray Allen and Donyell Marshall.
