For all the talk Monday about the play of Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer, the biggest story of the day involving a quarterback from Ohio had nothing to do with the Browns.

Ohio State’s Braxton Miller, a Heisman candidate expected by many to lead the Buckeyes into national title contention, re-injured his surgically repaired shoulder Monday during practice and could miss the entire season.

Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch reported the injury Monday afternoon, citing anonymous sources.

Ohio State has not confirmed the injury, but May reported it looks likely that redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett will start the Buckeyes’ opener August 30 against Navy in Baltimore.

The injury is to Miller’s right (throwing) shoulder, which he hurt during OSU’s Orange Bowl loss to Clemson.
