Families and friends of those on board AirAsia Flight QZ8501 gathered Sunday night at Changi Airport in Singapore, praying for what seemed an increasingly unlikely scenario: That the 162 people on the flight would be safe despite the plane going missing as it made its way toward Singapore from Surbaya, Indonesia.
