WATCH: Oregon Defense Stopped Jameis Winston Short of Goal Line

Towards the end of the 1st quarter of Thursday’s Rose Bowl game between the Florida state Seminoles and Oregon Ducks, Florida State stopped Oregon on 4th down deep in their own territory and countered by moving the ball down the field quickly.

The Seminoles were set up with a 1st-and-goal situation inside the 1:00 mark. after three consecutive stops, Florida State had a 4th-and-goal to start the 2nd quarter. After Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston scrambled for what initially was ruled a touchdown, replay revealed that Winston’s knee was down short before the football had crossed the goal line, marking a huge momentum shift in College Football’s inaugural Playoff Game.
