Campus Crossing Shooting: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know


Shots were fired at an off-campus apartment for Middle Tennessee State University students. Students were sent an advisory about the attack just after 10 a.m. on April 13.

Here’s what we know so far:


1. There are no reports of any injuries.


2. The school’s official advisory to students said that “suspects fled the scene and Murfreesboro police are continuing to investigate.”


3. There are nearly 23,000 students enrolled at MTSU.


4. According to the Campus Crossing Facebook page, the facility is located “just minutes” from the MTSU campus.


5. This shooting comes on the same day that there was an attack at Wayne Community College in North Carolina that left one person dead as well as a hoax shooting at Texas State University in Austin.
