An NYPD officer is accused of sending “inappropriate” photos to a 13-year-old girl. That cop has been named as 26-year-old Christopher Quinn. He’s a probationary officer within the department.

1. The New York Daily News reports that Quinn was arrested on the morning of April 16 within the 122nd Precinct. That station is responsible for the New Dorp neighborhood of Staten Island.

2. Quinn lives along Cypress Avenue in Sunnyside, according to the Staten Island Advocate. That neighborhood is synonymous with the Queens’ Irish-American population.

3. He’s charged with “acting in a manner injurious to a child,” according to an NYPD statement. Quinn will appear in court on May 15. Investigators are trying to uncover the full extent of Quinn’s alleged relationship to the teen.

4. In Daily News report on Quinn, it states that’s a probationary officer and is still in the police academy. Thanks to this, he’s not eligible for protection from the NYPD’s famously powerful union.

5. This is the second scandal involving a probationary officer to rock the NYPD in less than a month, Back in March 2015, James Destasio was arrested, accused of threatening his girlfriend with a gun, reports DNA Info.
