Ted Visner of Isabella County, Michigan bought a home from a woman who had defaulted on her mortgage payments. Now under investigation, Visner intends to fight back.
The drama has been unfolding for about three years now. Back then, Visner bought a home from sheriff employee, Shelly Sweet, only to find out that Sweet had not been making her home payments. After moving into the home with his wife, son, and daughter, and then leaving on vacation, Visner came home to find all his belongings gone. According to an unsubstantiated news story by independent Salem News:
Ted Visner says they bought their former home on a land contract, only to learn seven months later, that the seller, Isabella County Sheriff’s Dept. employee Shelly Sweet, was not making monthly payments on the house. A bank foreclosed on the property, all unbeknownst to the [Visner] family.
Ted Visner, who builds custom homes for a living, said, “Although we were paying Sweet every month on the purchase of the property, she had not been paying the underlying mortgage and the home fell into foreclosure.
After three-years of legal battles and “police harassment”, Visner claims he has had enough and intends to take up arms against the U.S. government. He writes on the YouTube video page:
I am making a stand and fulfilling my oath to defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic as an American Patriot.
