John Kasich is running for President and he has a net worth estimated at $2.5 million. According to the Columbus Dispatch, however, Kasich, his wife Karen and their daughters have a net worth ranging between $9.1 million and $22.3 million, as seen in their personal financial disclosure records. The records include not only Kasich’s assets, but also the trusts that he has set up for his children. Some of the assets Kasich reported include the Franklin Ohio T/F Income Fund A; the Russell Tax Exempt Bond Fund S, which are both held in trusts for Kasich, and the Roth IRA NM RR Variable Annuity 98.
Kasich’s wife, Karen, also has big investments as she’s invested in some Ohio-based companies including L Brands, Cardinal Health, Procter and Gamble and American Electric Power.
Prior to getting into politics, John Kasich made his money working in the private sector as an investment banker and also acting as a managing director at the Lehman Brothers. He also was a Fox News analyst. As the Governor in Ohio in 2010, Kasich’s salary was reported at $144,269 a year. According to Ballotpedia, Kasich raised a total of $39,737,184 from 2010 to 2014 for his Governor campaigning.
