It was not a good day for the Miami Dolphins.
After being blown out by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon, things took a turn for the worse for the Dolphins when video surfaced that appeared to show Miko Grimes, wife of defensive back Brent Grimes, being arrested by Miami-Dade police.
The video was posted on YouTube on Sunday afternoon. The arrest was officially confirmed by Miami Herald reporter Adam Beasle on Sunday evening:
Per Miami-Dade police: Miko Grimes has been arrested on charges of battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence.
This isn’t the first that Miko Grimes has made headlines, on the internet or otherwise. She is hardly afraid to share her opinions on the NFL or the entire game of football for that matter and has developed a reputation for keeping a critical eye on her husband’s game. In fact, there were rumors that she and Brent would text one another during halftime so that Miko could give him tips on how to improve his game.
She went viral on Twitter earlier this year for the way the NFL treated Brent at the Pro Bowl. According to Miko, her husband was denied his appearance fee and was also robbed of Pro Bowl MVP honors for taking a day off of practice to be with her while she had emergency oral surgery.
