Thanksgiving in Canada 2015: Canadian Celebrities Who Celebrate the Holiday

Canadian Thanksgiving 2015

Today is Thanksgiving in Canada, so it is a time to celebrate. The holiday always lands on the second Monday in October and it's meant to honor the harvest as well as other blessings of the year. In the provinces of Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, Thanksgiving is an optional holiday. The Canadian Football League has a nationally televised doubleheader called the Thanksgiving Day Classic and there are big parades like the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. In addition, Canadian Thanksgiving falls on the same day as Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day, which are celebrated in the United States. So, let's take a moment to celebrate the holiday by checking out some of our favorite Canadian celebrities, starting with Justin Bieber. (Getty)
