A 22-year-old man is wanted in San Mateo, California, accused of stabbing his 34-year-old girlfriend to death. Police says that Anthony Kirincic killed his girlfriend after attacking her multiple times with a knife at her home on the afternoon of November 28. The incident occurred in San Mateo, about 20 miles south of San Francisco.

1. NBC San Francisco reports that the woman, who has not been named, died at the scene, in her apartment on the 1500 block of B Street in San Mateo. The station describes the incident as a domestic disturbance.
2. His car was found in the parking garage of San Carlos Medical Center which led to a lockdown of that facility for a time on the afternoon of November 28, reports San Francisco Bay. That website adds that an Mateo County Sheriff’s Office are aiding the search and that law enforcement at San Francisco International Airport have been alerted about Kirincic.
3. According to his Facebook page, Kirincic is a native of Redwood City, California, close to San Mateo. Not much is visible on his social media page, one photo from March 2012 has comment from one of Kirincic’s friends that reads “thats kool if its gonna keep u out of trouble.”
4. ABC San Francisco reports that Kirincic is believed to be armed and dangerous. That station quotes law enforcement sources who say that Kirincic has fled the immediate are of the crime.
5. State law in California dictates that to be convicted of murder, prosecutors must show that the incident was premeditated and deliberate and that the suspect had the intention to kill. If convicted of first-degree murder, a person could face the death penalty in the state of California.
