How to Make Stuffing From Bread: Traditional Thanksgiving Recipe With Only 5 Ingredients

We prefer to keep our stuffing simple. So here’s a recipe for traditional bread stuffing, that has lots of flavor and is easy to put together. Besides stuffing your turkey with it, make extra for a side dish, because your guests are sure to want seconds. And you’ll want leftovers, too.

You will need these 5 ingredients:

2 medium onions, diced
4 stalks of celery, peeled and diced
1 loaf of bread, diced (You can use any type of bread or baguette. We prefer white bread, but you can use wheat or grain as well. Note that staler loaves are more effective in this recipe.)
2 cups of milk
1/4 stick of butter

To prepare the stuffing:
1. Sautee the onions and celery at medium heat with butter. Sweat the mixture for 10 minutes. Do not brown.
2. In a mixing bowl, add the diced bread.
3. Add the celery and onion mixture to the bread and then add milk. Stir until well mixed.
4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
