A God fearing convicted meth dealer is the prime suspect in the shooting death of Officer Daniel Ellis in Kentucky.
That suspect is Raleigh Sizemore of Richmond, Kentucky. The shooting occurred at his friend Greg Ratliff's home in the city. The wounded officer has been named as Officer Daniel Ellis of the Richmond Police Department. Two days after the attack, Officer Ellis was pronounced dead.
Officer Ellis and his partner entered the home where he was shot while he was investigating the attempted robbery of a gas station customer in Richmond on the morning of November 4, reports WKYT. The station says that Ratliff allowed the cops into his home without telling him that Sizemore was present. Ratliff allegedly also said that there were no guns in the home. Sizemore was inside a bedroom of the apartment along with a woman named Rita Creech. When Ellis attempted to enter that room, police say Sizemore opened fire, hitting Ellis. The other cop returned fire and struck Sizemore.
