A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a government office in the northwestern Pakistani city of Mardan on Tuesday, killing at least 22 people and wounding 45. You can see images from the attack in the video above.

A Taliban-influenced group quickly claimed responsibility for the attack. The bombing happened outside the regional office of the National Database and Registration Authority, which issues identity cards to Pakistanis. Mardan is 30 miles northwest of Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan and adjacent to the North Waziristan tribal region.

Pakistani senior police officers confirmed that some of the wounded were in critical condition following the blast. The Taliban later claimed responsibility for the Peshawar school attack; Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), made the claim.
