At least four people were killed in traffic accidents as Winter Storm Jonas slammed in North Carolina on Friday, CNN reports.

The storm is making its way up the East Coast, with several states expected to see high snowfall totals by Saturday evening.

In North Carolina, more than 100,000 people were without power Friday night. According to the National Weather Service, ice accumulation is also an issue.
