Clean Sleep entered the Shark Tank to debut a service that cleans, deodorizes and sanitizes mattresses. Their patent-pending Clean Sleep technology employs the use of ultraviolet light, dry steam, a vacuum system, ozone and heat. The service is mobile and has both residential and commercial clients.
We interviewed Michael Ingle, who worked diligently to create the right cleaning solution that is safe and chemical-free.

How the Idea Came About
I fell asleep on my bare mattress one night eight years ago while my sheets were in the washer and I was really grossed out by the fact that I was laying on my mattress! I stayed up all night researching a solution and never found one…..so I created one.
Over 4 Years of Research & Development
I spent four-and-a-half years researching and developing the technology to remove, irradiate and sanitize all the things that happen to a mattress. I started building the prototype in my garage at home three years ago. I was adamant about not using any chemicals in this process to ensure is was useful and safe for everyone, hence the reason it took me over four years to come up with the process and system.
Why It’s Important to Clean Your Mattress
here are many reason to clean your mattress, just as we clean everything else in our homes! Sleep plays a vital role in our abilities to function throughout our day. We spend approximately eight hours breathing in all of the things that people and their environments leave behind nightly in our mattress. Not only does this reduce the quality of your sleep, but also contributes to the deterioration of your mattress.

One of my best friends Jeff Watson signed me up…after lots of paperwork, auditions and intense deadlines, Clean Sleep had what it took to make the cut…I was only nervous about launching the pitch from the beginning, once the questions rolled in I got into a comfort zone knowing that I had full vision, preparation, understanding and hands on experience in my business and financials.
