We interviewed owner and founder Jeremiah Robison, who entered the Tank after auditioning for the reality show at the University of Utah. Although the self-proclaimed introvert admitted that the experience proved quite nerve wracking, he said, “I like to let the clothing do the talking.”
As far as the future plans for the company whose designs are worn by the likes of Katy Perry, Kris Jenner and Miley Cyrus, Robison said, “We’ll make more designs that blow people’s minds. There’s nothing like wearing Beloved Shirts around town and seeing the reactions you get. It’s pretty cool.”
Here’s what else they told us about…
How the Idea For the Company Came About
In the fall of 2012, I was playing on my indoor soccer team and had the thought, “Wouldn’t it be funny to have jerseys with realistic pictures of food on them?” Eventually jerseys turned into sweatshirts. And Beloved Shirts was born.
The Beloved Utah-Based Team
The team formed from relationships I already had with people. Provo is full of really talented people, so it was easy to hire a great team. We’re always looking for new talent to take us to the next level.
The 1st Design
Pickles. I love dill pickles, man…We have a really talented designer and have been fortunate to work some really great artists, and then I’ve done a lot of designs as well.
