The U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. was locked down after a reported shooting Monday afternoon in the building’s visitor’s center.

In the first call, a dispatcher sent personnel to a “report of a shooting at the U.S. Capitol.”

Dispatchers later said there was a report of “multiple victims,” with “multiple injuries,” and that the “shooter is down.”

Responding units reported there was one victim being treated and that it was not an active shooter situation.
